Michael Crabtree

Ok, apparently someone forgot to tell this poor soul a few things. First off Michael, holding out for top 5 money is absurd... you didn't go in the top 5. Second, you played at Texas Tech. People don't take the guy who threw you the ball very seriously, so you're fortunate to be where you are. Name me an offensive player from Texas Tech that is now an NFL standout? Only guy that comes to mind for me is Wes Welker. So Michael, get in camp. You can't afford to pull a JaMarcus Russell here. Get over your ego and just play football.

This is unfortunate as I think Crabtree has a real chance to start and make an impact if he gets to camp soon but with the depth at WR if he misses any time in camp it will be hard to catch up.

Yeah, time=money in the NFL. The more playing time you can get, the more chances you have to accumulate stats. Stats=money. So if he just quits whining about his rookie contract, his payday will come.

Can someone please tell him to just play? Seriously, his adviser is saying he is prepared to skip the season and re-enter the draft next season. Yeah, see who drafts you after you've been out of football for a year, when you were an unknown to begin with since you are a rookie. Seriously, Crabtree, get your *** in camp and just play.

Both the 49ers and the player rep for Michael Crabtree are denying that the No. 10 overall pick has threatened to sit out the season and re-enter the draft in 2010. The reports started with Crabtree's cousins and adviser, David Wells. His agent, Eugene Parker, denies saying a word to anyone about a potential re-entry. According to AOL FanHouse, the 49ers "have no idea" what Wells is talking about. This appears to be an ill-advised publicity stunt orchestrated by Crabtree's cousin. And it has blown up in Crabtree's face. Source: nfl.fanhouse.com
ESPN blows up over this **** before checking its source.

Sounds like his cousin needs a kick in the face.
