2009 AFC East Predictions

Standings(with records if you would like):

Patriots (13-3)
Dolphins (9-7)
Jets (7-9)
Buffalo (3-13)

Best Offensive Player of Division: Tom Brady

Best Defensive Player of Division: Kherry Rhodes

Best Offensive Rookie of Division: Shonn Greene

Best Defensive Rookie of Division: Sean Smith....especially since he's starting already.

Players on the Rise: Jason Taylor, Ted Ginn Jr., Paul Posluszny, Trent Edwards, Jerod Mayo

Players on the Decline: Fred Taylor, Terrell Owens, Bart Scott

Coach on the Hot Seat: Dick Jauron

Biggest Storyline of Division:

Can the Jets make the playoffs without throwing the ball?

Will the Dolphins shore up their special teams?

Is the Patriots' running game good enough to keep the pressure off Tom Brady and his knee (and now his shoulder...and his pussy)? And does it matter?

Can Dick Jauron keep it together in Buffalo?

Standings:

Patriots (13-3)
Dolphins (10-6)
Bills (9-7)
Jets (4-12)

Best Offensive Player of Division: Wes Welker

Best Defensive Player of Division: Not too sure here, gonna go out on a limb and say Joey Porter

Best Offensive Rookie of Division: No one really stands out in this category. Going with Mark Sanchez, although I don't think it will mean much.

Best Defensive Rookie of Division: Sean Smith

Players on the Rise: Trent Edwards, Ted Ginn Jr., Anthony Fasano

Players on the Decline: Thomas Jones

Coach on the Hot Seat: Dick Jauron

Biggest Storyline of Division: How effective can the Bills be on offense with both Terrell Owens and Lee Evans?

Is Tom Brady back to his old self, and will the shoulder he landed on in the preseason game affect any of his throws?

Is Mark Sanchez ready for the NFL? After only one year of starting in college, Sanchez is making a huge leap to a new level and will start week 1.

Was the "Wildcat" a one year wonder, or will it still be effective as a source of offense?
