Dallas Cowboys Videoboard Thoughts

So in the inaugural football game in their new stadium, the Cowboys defeated the Titans in preseason action 30-10. The storyline, however, is not on the game but one of the stadium's biggest landmarks: the videoboard. In the 3rd quarter, Titans backup punter A.J. Trapasso hit the bottom of the oversized board, and despite a change in trajectory, game officials were unaware it had occurred. The argument going on right now is whether or not the board should be raised. My opinion is that it should be raised to prevent as many issues as possible. What are your thoughts?

I say lift the screen up if possible. Either way, I don't see it being that big of a problem throughout the season.

Yeah I think they'll eventually have to lift it.

Ok, I wanted to throw out an update on the absurd idea I'm hearing out there: the idea that some quarterback is going to throw a pass into the videoboard to get a do-over... What an absurd idea.

First off, the quarterback has to get out of the pocket... then he has to throw it 30 yards... straight up. So, show me a quarterback ready to suffer a career-ending injury from a defensive end that just clocks him as he winds up to throw straight up. That doesn't even mention the comedy that ensues if he misses the board completely and the defense waits below for the easy interception... Come on people, get your heads in there. It won't happen, and if it does, the guy that does it will easily be ridiculed for the rest of his career...
