It isn't very often that I'll call out fans for ruining the experience; lets face it, without them the games don't happen. I am making an exception today. In the Phillies-Cardinals game last night, a Phillies fan was shining a green laser pointer in the eyes of Cardinal batters. Now, I'm all for a good time, but I know if I'm one of the other of the thousands of fans that paid good money to watch the game, I don't like this.
First off... if you force the stadium to hire extra security, ticket prices go up, and that's good for no one. Second, you are the kind of person that ends up getting cameras and even cell phones banned from places like this. Seriously, just grow up or don't come to the baseball game. If you think it takes you shining a laser in the other players' eyes, then you obviously have concerns about your team (despite the Phillies being one of the hottest teams in baseball right now). The bottom line? Grow up or go home...
