A tournament that looked to be dead after Tiger missed the cut on Friday turned exciting over the weekend with the revival of Tom Watson. Watson, a figure from several generations ago, almost pulled off a win at the British Open, eventually losing in a playoff to Stewart Cink.

What are your thoughts on the tournament?

Tiger wasn't in it so I didn't pay much attention. Besides, the tournament was only live while I was asleep!

Without the story lines that Watson provided I might not have been as interested as I was. But I was glued to the TV over the weekend hoping to catch a little bit of history. Unfortunately the geezer choked in the end but it was still very entertaining.

Yeah I had just heard on ESPN Radio the night before that they were all waiting for Watson to choke on a short putt, which hadn't affected him as of yet. Sure enough, 18th hole on Sunday, he just completely short-armed the par putt. Either way, impressive showing for Watson. Stewart Cink is a good guy, and people have wanted him to win, just not THAT tournament lol.
