Contador

Alrighty, now that the tour is over, the true side of Alberto Contador has been shown. I was reading here and saw that Contador claims to have no respect for Lance Armstrong on a personal level. Contador just couldn't handle that the cycling world still loves Lance, not him.

I had a lot of respect for Contador up to this point: great rider, but looks like he lives the life of a drama-queen. Hey, Alberto, got a piece of advice for you. Shut the hell up and just race. You wouldn't have won if it wasn't for your teammates, and cutting one of them down after the fact isn't going to motivate the rest of them to help you try again next year. Ever heard of a mutiny? Yeah, well learn the term, because that's what you deserve and I really hope it happens to you. I don't care if you're talking about Lance Armstrong or Joe Anonymous... it's disrespectful and just goes to show you have no class, even after winning cycling's biggest event.

Look both of these guys hate to lose and can come off selfish or arrogant at times but to come out blasting Lance after the tour shows horrible sportsmanship. I have many friends and family in Austin and Lance does a lot of charity work but has a reputation of being an *** so I can see where Contador PERSONALLY doesn't admire him. Now professionally you have to admire and respect somebody that has seen the podium @ TDF 8x with 7 of em being #1. Lance showed a lot of maturity this year being able to sit back and take the supporting role that he did and Contador should have respected that by keeping his personal opinions to himself.

Yeah, I mean I understand the tension that existed, I really do, but for Contador to imply that his teammate (Lance in this case) wasn't behind him 100%?! I mean, the guy publicly said after Contador took the yellow jersey that it was time for him to take a backseat and make sure Contador kept the lead at all costs. If that isn't 100% support, then I don't know what is. I can also see Lance being an ***... he's a cyclist. Before I get blasted for saying that, I mean a professional cyclist. Think about it: the guy has to spend a lot of time riding and training... I'd be grumpy too.
