Spurrier snub or not?
So Steve Spurrier owned up to being the coach that didn't vote for Tim Tebow for the All-SEC team. He mentioned, however, that it was an oversight/mistake. Personally, I think he purposely voted for Jevan Snead of Ole Miss whether he admits it or not. Jevan is a solid QB, and truth be told could be a better pure QB than Tebow, even though Tebow has to take the vote for better athlete and player. Thoughts?

well i don't know....

After reading that article I'm convinced that it was in fact a mistake. While I agree Snead is a better "pure quarterback" and has the tools to be much more successful at the next level, Tebow is such a dominating force in college football that I think the total package he brings to the position warrants him being selected over Snead.

Yeah, Tebow will be crying at the end of the year anyways when Ole Miss beats them AGAIN and for a change they don't have a national championship berth handed to them.

Hey, I'll be the first to admit I'm waiting on him to break down. I won't believe last season was the real him unless he does it again. If you're looking for the typical UT fan that defends him no matter what, you're looking in the wrong place. I'm still bitter than Jevan Snead got away to Ole Miss...

Oh forgot to mention Urban "the tool" Meyer. When he coached at Utah, he whined and moaned they didn't get a title shot, then last year when the position was reversed he went the other way with it. Urban Meyer= no creibility.

UT hasn't been making a name for themselves. The reason why they're in the spotlight they are a lot of the time is because of where they play. With the exception of Baylor, the Big 12 South is a powerhouse. Too bad the Big 12 North sucks; otherwise the Big 12 as a whole could rival the SEC. I'm saying it here, the SEC is the toughest conference.
I blame multiple people on the Snead fiasco. Mack Brown for underutilizing him. At least Penn State went with dual QB's (even though it bit them in the *** in the offseason with Devlin transferring to Delaware), but you also have to blame Jevan Snead. Think about it, he knew coming in all the hype surrounding Ponyboy Curtis (Colt McCoy). Snead will do good at Ole Miss, I see a Cotton Bowl bid for them. It can fall apart for them if Snead doesn't get any help (bad receivers, line that doesn't block, you get the picture). At least Snead didn't pull a Bomar and run to a 1AA (i refuse to call it FBS or FCS) and still suck it up. Then again, at least he is transferring to a good school and not milking it (**cough cough JASON WHITE cough cough**).

Yeah Big 12 North is terrible. They were ok 2 years ago because Kansas and Missouri carried them.

Big 12 North
Kansas? Football? Oh...you mean when Todd Reesing showed up....Mizzou was middle of the road, and then they landed Chase Daniel and picked up Maclin a few years later to compliment. Daniel is a great passer but suffers the Big 12 QB fate of late....great in college, little play time in the NFL. Maclin left too early like Crabtree. Nebraska may pull it together this year. It will be between Kansas, Mizzou, and Nebraska. Then again, remember, if you win big in Nebraska, you get a congressional seat and then get to be the AD at the school you led. God, Tom Osborne reminds me of a successful Al Bundy (shivers)
