USC's Johnson has throat surgery
Man, all football aside, this situation is really not something you ever want to hear. USC tailback Stafon Johnson was lifting weights, when his right hand slipped off of the bar and 275 pounds came down straight on his throat. He's very fortunate he was using a spotter, otherwise he may not have had the opportunity to have surgery. Apparently his vocal chords are destroyed. Here's to hoping he makes a quick recovery and the injury won't end his career.
